IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages or being intoxicated is not allowed at camp or any camp function. *Camp Watchaug operates under the guidelines of the Ocean Community YMCA mission: “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” *Camp Watchaug believes that all staff are “professional role models” and expects each staff member to behave as such both at camp and in the community.

STATEMENT ON CHILD ABUSE

To protect the people in our care, as well as the staff members and volunteers who serve them, we follow strict policies on abuse prevention. We do everything possible to screen out potential offenders and to prevent abuse from occurring to people in our care. This protects children from potential wrongdoers, and minimizes the risk of false allegations against innocent staff members and volunteers. We fully cooperate with authorities in thoroughly investigating any and all allegations.
