Zumba Gold Preview
7:45 - 8:15 AM, With Gerry McVeigh
Zumba Gold was designed for the active older adult, people who are not used to exercising, people who may be limited physically and also the true beginner. Zumba Gold is done at a lower intensity than a regular Zumba class but it has all of the same great styles of Latin music and dance moves. Zumba Gold classes strive to improve balance, strength, flexibility and most importantly, the heart. Be sure to wear comfortable workout clothing and bring water and a hand towel when attending a Zumba Gold class.

Couch to 5K the Y way
Couch to 5K the Y Way is a 7-week program designed for the individual who has always wanted to try running but didn't know where to begin, the person who has started time and time again but quits, and also for the go-getter who starts running but goes too far too fast and ends up hurt. Our program will safely move you from the couch to the finish line of your first 5K (3.1 miles). We offer weekly meetings with a trainer, supportive and encouraging emails, and the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who can keep you going strong through your workouts. Our next session begins with our first meeting on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 9:30 AM or 7:30 PM and concludes on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 by competing in the Roger H. Schonning 5K and Family Fun Run. This event also includes a Kids Fun Run and a picnic for all the participants
