Wednesday, April 5th starts our first FREE lecture in a series of FREE Lectures that will be offered on Wednesdays. This first lecture is Weight Loss 101 given by Kaitlin Bennett, RD, CDN. Kaitlin is a certified Registered Dietitian, member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and recieved her Master’s Degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth. She currently works as a Registered Dietitian for Five Star Supermarkets Shop Rite. Weight loss is about a change in lifestyle that reaches beyond a magic pill or fad. Special Olympics Unified Sports is a fast growing initiative that brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team to compete. The Westerly YMCA now has registration open for 8-12 year olds interested in this program. This class will offer any individual 18 years and older the opportunity to explore elements of acting such as scene study, monologue work, and auditioning skills. This class will be a fun, stress free environment in which you will have the ability to learn and grow as an actor. Andrew Medeiros, a professionally trained actor, with experience in commercials, independent films and theatre productions, will instruct this program.

This is an acting class for young students that want to learn the basics of acting. From improvisation, to monologues, to scene study, to how to audition; this class will offer a fun, safe, learning environment for young students wanting to become actors. SUP- Fit is an athletic interval water class that will incorporate paddle drills and functional movements on the boards to create an interval based workout. The focus of this class is having FUN while using core stability to improve the overall functioning of the body and build a stronger, more balanced physique.
