ICE RINK

Skate Guard

Concession Attendant

Administrative Assistant

Hockey Official
Responsible for enforcing the rules impartially and controlling the gameplay so that the players are afforded a positive game experience.  Officiating is an area of expertise which requires knowledge of the game and strategy of sports in order to control the behavioral responses of players, coaches and spectators.  They must be positive, friendly, well-spoken, outgoing and practice proper customer service at all times.  Must be USA Hockey Official certified.  Seasonal, Westerly, Tim Babcock icerink@oceancommunityymca.org

Score Keeper
Will ensure that all Y policies and safety guidelines are adhered to by participants.  Score keeper will maintain accurate scoring stats for each game or contest.  The individual should have an understanding of the league rules and scoring equipment, working experience with children as well as a good recreational background.  Must be positive, friendly, well-spoken, outgoing and practice proper customer service at all times.  American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen certifications preferred.  Seasonal, Westerly, Nick Austin icerink@oceancommunityymca.org

Skating Instructor

Utility Specialist

Building Supervisor
Responsible for top quality member service and the security of the building.  The individual must be familiar with emergency procedures and available to respond to all situations requiring attention and assume control of any and all situations that may arise.  The supervisor will be the decision-making authority on site and enforce all Y policies.  The individual must be positive, friendly, well spoken, outgoing, practice proper customer service at all times and promote the mission of the Y at all times.  CPR/AED/First Aid required; American Red Cross or equivalent.  This individual must be at least 18 years old.  Seasonal, Westerly, Nick Austin icerink@oceancommunityymca.org

Hockey Coordinator
Under direct supervision of the Ice Rink Director, the Hockey Coordinator will organize and direct the skating and hockey programs with the goal to generate an interest and appreciation for skating and hockey as a sport and in a manner to promote strong character development.  The Hockey coordinator is responsible for ensuring the children’s social, physical, emotional, and mental development in our programs.  Success in this hands-on position requires the ability to teach and lead staff, volunteers and participants in the areas of hockey, learn to skate, group and private lessons, team practices and games.  Seasonal, Westerly, NIck Austin icerink@oceancommunityymca.org

ARCADIA BRANCH

Youth Development Coordinator
Under the direction and supervision of the Arcadia Branch Director, the Coordinator will be directly responsible for implementation of the School’s Out Program, Vacation Camps, and Childwatch.  Coordinator will supervise School’s Out and Childwatch staff.  Provide leadership in the management of licensing, staffing, payroll,and programs in accordance with the DCYF standards and YMCA best practices.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Education, related field, or equivalent experience preferred.  Minimum two years programmatic experience as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.  Strong human relation and communication skills to facilitate positive relationships with participants, members and staff.  Must be Site Director qualified and able to substitute when needed.  Part time, Arcadia, Karen Allen kallen@oceancommunityymca.org
