With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that everyone has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

Our Doors Are Always Open
Our financial assistance program provides aid to those in need and ensures that no one is turned away for the inability to pay. YCares offers children, teens, adults and families the opportunity to benefit from Y programs and services that they otherwise could not afford.

Last year, our Y helped almost 2,000 individuals and families participate in Y programs and services by providing more than $450,000 in financial assistance. If you are interested in obtaining financial assistance to participate in our Y programs:

How Can You Help?
We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident and secure.

Each year, our Annual Support Campaign invites volunteers to share their Y story and encourage donors to give generously in support of this program. All the funds raised during the campaign go directly to those in need through our scholarship program.

“My son Max really enjoys the after school program. The staff always has fun and creative activities that keep him interested. They also help him with his school homework which helps me out a lot and is greatly appreciated. The staff has been simply wonderful and it is good to know while I’m at work I don’t have to worry about my son. Thank you so much!”

“Receiving the Y scholarship and becoming members enabled everyone in my family to have more physical activity opportunities. Our community has no swimming facility, so the Y offers an additional bonding activity with my children while swimming and playing with them all year round. Over the past few years, I have gradually lost over 30 pounds and my knees have stopped hurting. I have more self-confidence and energy chasing my 2 year old son. My daughter loves the gymnastics class. It helps to gain strength and motivation. The Y scholarship program has had a positive impact on my family and improves our lives both physically and emotionally.”
