A team of seasonal summer staff as well as full-time YMCA directors lead the YMCA Camp Cove programs. Our Summer staff is selected for their strong character, maturity, enthusiasm and commitment to our Y values as well as their ability to be a positive influence in our camper’s lives. We provide extensive staff training, drills and preparation, which include child abuse prevention, criminal background checks, CPR/AED and First Aid certification behavioral management, team building and social facilitation. Our staff aims to encourage group participation and cooperation, building self-confidence and self-esteem and to give each camper an opportunity to develop interests in a variety of program areas. With our strong camper and staff return rate, we are excited to continue our traditions and offer new challenges.

All Camp Cove staff are required to complete a criminal background check, appropriate employment application and forms, three reference checks, and 24 hours of staff training prior to the start of summer.
