The Ocean Community YMCA is more than a fitness facility. Socializing and volunteering have positive effects on health, and exercise has proven to promote mental agility in addition to longevity and good health. We have several activities to encourage you to take action and get involved.  Please contact Kristen Carlson at kcarlson@oceancommunityymca.org if you would like to participate as a vendor at any of our branches.

 


AQUACISE

Medium to high intensity work out, with light to medium impact. This class will help improve flexibility and mobility, tones and strengthens muscles, and increases stamina and energy.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 – 9:30 am
Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Saturday 8:00 – 9:00 am


SENIOR WATER WORKOUT

Shallow water; choreographed exercise using kick boards and noodles for a total body workout.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30 – 10:30 am


DEEP WATER WORKOUT

Medium intensity deep water exercise class. This class uses a buoyant belt allowing participants to fully utilize the water’s resistance. Improves flexibility, strengthens muscles, increases stamina and energy.

Tuesday  8:30 – 9:30 am
Thursday 8:30 – 9:30 am


AQUA ZUMBA

This class blends it all together in a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio conditioning, body toning and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief!

Tuesday & Thursday 10:30 – 11:30 am


CARDIAC REHAB

This is a medically supervised and monitored program for persons with a history of heart disease.  Interested participants must be referred by a physician.

Please contact the Welcome Center for more information.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30 – 8:30 am


SENIOR YOGA

Easy postures will help improve balance and flexibility that will provide health benefits.

Thursday 10:45 – 12:00 pm


SENIOR WELLNESS

Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 – 8:45 am
