BOOT CAMP!: Love hard physical training? This is for YOU! Improve agility, speed, strength and flexibility with this intense workout.

BUTTS AND GUTS: Get the beautiful toned body you have always wanted with this intense workout that focuses on toning your abs and glutes.

CARDIO SCULPT: It’s everything you need in a workout! Rev up the heart rate, build, strengthen and tone your muscles.

INTENSE: Pressed for time but still looking for a great workout? This is the class for you! 30 minutes of Boot Camp style drills that change from week to week to rev up your metabolism and keep you from getting bored with your routine.

KICK BOXING: Jab, punch and kick your way to your most fit body ever.  This high energy class will get you pumped up and toned up in no time.

PILATES: Through a series of exercises that flow from one to another, you will gain strength and flexibility throughout your entire body. All levels welcome.

GENTLE PILATES: Get all the benefits of a regular Pilates class while moving at a slower pace and modifying the exercises when necessary.  All levels welcome. 

SALSA BEGINNERS LEVEL 1: This class will give you the fundamentals for all skills needed and is structured for someone who has relatively little to no experience. We move slower at this level and focus on each student individually until you feel more comfortable with the basic step and other moves you just learned. All levels welcome.

SALSA LEVEL 2: This class takes the basics to the next level, cement the most core fundamentals and begin to grow each dancer’s vocabulary. Each week you’ll work on leading and following techniques, turn combinations and foot work, and will add a new move each week.

YOGA – BASICS: Whether you are brand new to Yoga or coming back to it after along break, this is the class for you. During this 8-week session you will safely learn all the basic components of a yoga class.

YOGA FOR BEGINNERS: This gentle class is for individuals who are interested in attaining the benefits of Yoga (balance, strength, flexibility, focus) but have little or no experience. Proper alignment and safety for each participant are the focus for this class.

YOGA – GENTLE: Enjoy all of the benefits Yoga has to offer in a safe and gentle way. Improve flexibility, strength and balance.

YOGA – VINYASA FLOW: Through a series of flowing postures you will connect your mind to your body and breath. This awareness will help reduce stress and gain a sense of peace. The movements will improve your balance and flexibility as well as tone and strengthen your body.

ZUMBA!: Come join the party! Latin rhythms combined with easy to follow dance moves create fun for everyone!

ZUMBA GOLD!: Zumba Gold is designed for the active older adult. It has all of the same zesty Latin music but the moves and pace are modified. It is a dance fitness class which is friendly and fun.

Wellness Wednesdays FREE Lecture Series

Wednesday, April 5th starts our first FREE lecture in a series of FREE Lectures that will be offered on Wednesdays.  This first lecture is Weight Loss 101 given by Kaitlin Bennett, RD, CDN.  Kaitlin is a certified Registered Dietitian, member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and recieved her Master’s Degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth.  She currently works as a Registered Dietitian for Five Star Supermarkets Shop Rite.  Weight loss is about a change in lifestyle that reaches beyond a magic pill or fad.  Bring your questions to Kaitlin!

Spring Racquetball Tournament 2017

Kettlebell Training Plus+

Designed for those who have taken the Kettlebell training course, this 8 week program will take your strength and fitness to new heights.  The class is comprised of high intensity circuits built on functional and explosive movements utilizing the versatile training tool.  This program is free for members, however, Kettlebell Training is a pre-requisite for registration.  Contact Patrick Hanley at phanley@oceancommunityyma.org for more information.

Ages: 16+

SUP- Fit is an athletic interval water class that will incorporate paddle drills and functional movements on the boards to create an interval based workout.  The focus of this class is having FUN while using core stability to improve the overall functioning of the body and build a stronger, more balanced physique. Participants are encouraged to wear exercise type clothing.  Paddle boards are provided.

Thursdays 9:30 – 11:30 AM 

A class specifically designed to prepare you for your first triathlon or improve your skills to achieve your goal for your next race. Tips and advice will be given for this specific sporting event, including transitions and equipment. This class will start with a 45 minute bike in the SPIN Studio, 45 minute run outdoors and finish with 30 minute swim in the pool. Space is limited.

Tuesdays: Salsa Beginners Level 1


If you’ve never danced any style of dance before, our Salsa Beginners Level 1 class is the place to start.  Whether your coming as a couple or have no partner, this class will give you the fundamentals for all the skills needed and is structured for someone who relatively no experience.  We move slower at this level and focus on each student until you feel more comfortable with the basic step and other moves.  We encourage you to repeat this level as often as you need to, until you feel ready to join level 2.

The TRX Suspension Trainer is a workout system that leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

Training Ages 11 –13 – 4 Week Class

This class will introduce teens ages 11-13 to the various cardio and resistance machines in the Wellness Center. Safety, proper form, fun and basic program design are the main focus of the program. After completing this course successfully, participants can use the equipment in the Wellness Center (with the exception of the Free Weight area) while accompanied by a parent or guardian.
