Join us for a fun, inspirational, 6-week online workshop on the art and craft of writing personal narrative/essay/memoir, for all levels of writers. The course focuses on the fundamentals of creating a gripping, poignant narrative from your own life experiences. As part of a community of fellow writers, you’ll “workshop” your work—various short exercises and prompts, as well a single, more polished memoir of up to 3,500 words—and receive helpful, constructive criticism from the class and instructor. Expect to spend a couple hours on outside reading per week, in addition to time spent on your own writing. This class will be facilitated using Zoom video conferencing.

Ethan Gilsdorf is a journalist, memoirist, essayist, critic, poet,
