ARCADIA BOOK CLUB

Get together with friends at the Y to select and discuss a different book each month. The club will meet on the first Monday of each month. Meetings will begin at 1pm.

Hear about the history and significance of dream catchers while you make your own personal dream catcher.   Bring in your own feathers, beads or other objects to weave into your dream catcher.  Hoops and other supplies will be provided.

REACH & RISE™ INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS

Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch
The Ocean Community YMCA is pleased to begin offering the Reach & Rise™ Mentoring Program in Rhode Island.   The Reach & Rise™ Mentoring Program is a national YMCA program that is committed to youth development by nurturing the potential of kids and teens to help them achieve their full po47573730E[1]tential.  At this time, we are looking for mentors and youth to be a part of the program.

  • -Volunteers age 23+ who want to inspire youth
  • -Meet 1-3 hours a week for a minimum of 1 year
  • -1:1 Mentoring for youth aged 6-17

When: Wednesday, May 7, 2014
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Westerly-Pawcatuck Community Room

WALL HANGING

Put your creativity to work!  Using Mason jars, hardware and driftwood, you can assemble your own personal wall hanging for keys, jewelry and cut flowers!   Take home a beautiful and useful piece of art. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own items as well.

9th Annual Ocean Community YMCA Triathlon

Sunday, September 21, 2014

Join Us! The course consists of a 1/2 mile Ocean swim (with current), followedby a 16 mile double loop bike course (helmets are required), ending with a flat3-mile out and back run. Refreshments and Awards Ceremony finish event. Course maps are available at your Y.

Registration Fees:

Individual: $62 (through Sept. 14), $72 (Sept. 15-20), $82 (race day)
Teams: $82 (through Sept. 14), $112 (Sept. 15-20), $142 (race day)

T-shirts to the first 200 entrants!
