Lego® Camp
Camp Watchaug partners with Play-Well TEKnologies for LEGO® camp. Since 1997, Play-Well TEKnologies has been focused on learning through play. Kids are already naturally gifted creators and they get added inspiration from specially trained instructors. They ratchet up their imaginations with tens of thousands of LEGO®! While they build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, they explore fundamental principles of engineering and physics. They also learn to collaborate and create without fear of mistakes. The experience is joyful, the impact long-lasting.
This is a full day program: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Campers will also get a taste of traditional camp along with their Lego program.
Lego® 1 – Entering Grades K-2
Mine, Craft, Build: Adventure Game with LEGO® Materials

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® bricks! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers! This ultimate LEGO Minecraft experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors, using gameplay elements and characters inspired by the popular Minecraft video game. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

Mine, Craft, Build: Survival Game with LEGO® Materials

Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or the LEGO® building system.

Intro to STEM & Pokemon Engineering using LEGO® Materials
Session 4, July 27-August 7 (2 Weeks)

Week 1: Bring your craziest ideas to life with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: chugging Steamboats, enchanting Moon Bridges, and bustling Airports. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.
Week 2: Join Ash and Pikachu as you build, capture, train, and explore the vast world of Pokémon. Design your own Poké Balls, explore the Kanto region, and fly with Charizard. Explore engineering through the fun world of Pokémon with the guidance of a Play-Well instructor.
Lego® 4 – Entering Grades 3-6
STEM Challenge & Pokemon Master Engineering using LEGO® Materials
Session 4, July 27-August 7 (2 Weeks)

Week 1: Refine your construction skills as you tinker with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts through projects such as: dizzying Teacup Rides, customized Cuckoo clocks, and the historic Wright Flyer. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.
Week 2: Start your training in Pallet Town and expand your Pokédex as you collect your favorite Pokémon. Surf with Blastoise, challenge Team Rocket, and earn badges from gym leaders on your way to the Pokémon League. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas while learning about STEM concepts.
