2025 Annual Leadership Breakfast

On Friday, November 7, The Ocean Community YMCA will host its annual Leadership Recognition Breakfast at the historic Ocean House in Watch Hill. The breakfast will bring together sponsors, community members, and friends of the Y to celebrate local impact, honor service, and strengthen connections that lift up our region.

The event will feature insightful remarks from distinguished honorees and spotlight the vital role of community leadership in advancing the mission of the YMCA.

2025 Featured Honorees

JOHN PAUL MORALES
John Paul Morales is a financial services executive with over 25 years of experience. As Branch Manager and Producing Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in Mystic, he also serves as Corporate Retirement Director. Morales’s professional focus includes helping clients clarify financial goals, build and preserve wealth, and structure charitable giving and retirement plans. He is also deeply committed to civic engagement and community investment.

BETTY-JO CUGINI & STEPHEN GREENE
Betty-Jo Cugini and Steve Greene are pillars of the Westerly community, known for their long-standing civic involvement, philanthropic leadership, and dedication to regional growth. Betty-Jo’s service has extended across arts, health, education, and local nonprofits; Steve has also played roles in advancing community institutions and public initiatives. Together, their collaborative leadership has had a meaningful, lasting impact in the region.
